Organizer Guide

Choose a sales path

Choose based on when dates, capacity, services, and price become certain—not on how you want to market the trip.

The quickest way to decide

Start with the first statement that accurately describes the product you can deliver.

  • Scheduled group

Independent parties can join the same advertised date.

  • Scheduled private package

One party should reserve the entire trip on a published or mutually confirmed date.

Compare the four package types

Every path reaches a Booking, but the route to dates, price, and inventory is different.

Fixed dates · shared seats

Scheduled group

Use this when trips run on advertised dates with shared capacity.

Dates
Create fixed Departures before travelers can choose a date.
Capacity
A shared seat capacity is set on every Departure.
Pricing
Usually priced per traveler; whole-party pricing is also supported.
Traveler action
Travelers choose an open Departure and complete checkout.

Flexible dates · one private party

Scheduled private package

Use this whenever each dated Departure must be exclusive to one party.

Dates
Publish private Departures, confirm dates with each party, or support both arrangements.
Capacity
Every dated Departure is exclusive and uses package party limits.
Pricing
Usually priced for the whole party and reserved through checkout.
Traveler action
Travelers either choose a published date or share preferred dates; checkout starts after the dated Departure is ready.

A Booking is not inventory

This boundary is the same across all four sales paths.

Creating a Booking records customer intent. Shared seats or one exclusive private date are committed only after the reservation payment is verified. This prevents unpaid attempts from becoming durable inventory allocations.
